simple joys

The cupboards are full and the laundry basket is empty.
The dishwasher is running.
There is a cat curled up beside me purring with unselfconscious abandon who has the softest, most stroke-able belly.
I have an excellent book and a LUSH bubble bath calling me upstairs.
It was light on the way to and from school today--and the sun shone!

Those are happy things.

Sigh. The bubble bath and book sounds absolutely delightful. :)

I am never more aware of the joy of these simple things, as when I am here in Russia - where live, overall, IS much simpler! And while I long to be home again, I know the first thing I'll miss, once I am - IS this simplicity!

I love the smell of a cat's belly when she's been recharging in a beam of sunlight. Sort of dusty and warm, and feels so soft. Of course, my throat closes in when I get near warm, soft cats now, but I do remember how nice it was!

Those all sound like fantastic things-- a bunch of wonderful little treats can be so deliciously spoiling! Enjoy them!

indulging in a book and a bath is so much more enjoyable when the laundry is done and the kitchen is cleaned up. congrats!

What can be nicer than reading in the bath? Ahhhhhhhh.

Satisfaction on getting stuff done, a pet and a bath...kinda brings peace and calm to life for a little while, doesn't it? Hope you enjoyed. :-)

This is funny, as I sat down to read blogs, I was thinking "things aren't so bad, I have most of the laundry done, the bathroom is clean, clean sheets on the bed, dinner in the over, one cat (butt in air) on my desk and the other one onthe floor (upside down purring)" Sounds like we're have a similar day! YAY for us!

Also wanted to tell you that I emailed my Russian men friends and wished them a Happy Man's Day - they all got a kick out of that. Thanks for the head's up on that one!
