My friend who had court on Monday, picked up her daughter on Tuesday and was feeling overwhelmed on Wednesday. I'm picking them up after school today and have persuaded them to stay with me until they leave. So...posts may or may not be regular in the next few days. Just wanted to give you all a heads up.

I'm glad you stopped by! This blog chronicles my experiences living in and adopting from Russia. It was a six-year journey that doubled the size of my family. I adopted my daughter, then age 6, from Moskovskaya Oblast. Now we're back in the USA and no longer posting from Russia.

You are such a good egg! Best wishes for your friends adjustment and her child's too.
Discouraged is a normal and sensible response at this stage. Tell your friend it will be okay. We were dieing about three days in. It's joyful now.
