court today...

We have a mom! And we will have another...

S had a successful, 45 minute court session and had her ten days waived.

B had her passport either stolen or lost. Without it they wouldn't hold her court hearing. She is getting an emergency passport and will have court on Thursday. We're hoping that this doesn't pose a bigger problem...Apparently, there could be a problem getting her children home when she has an emergency passport. She's had SUCH a tough journey.

That poor woman. My daughter had her passport (along with the girls'passports) stolen in Moscow and they went through an ORDEAL to get new ones. The American Embassy jumped through hoops and issued them immediately but the red tape they encountered dealing with the Russian Visas was another story. I hope all goes well for this poor mom waiting to finalize her adoption and take her child home to the US to begin her new life. Keep us updated.

Oh my. Hope everything gets straightened out for her.

(I was paranoid about losing my passport when there. I did a money and passport check quite often. At home I lose everything.)

oh, forget it. i re-read your post.

is that typical in st. pete to have the 10 days waived. it's getting rarer and rarer.

Happy for the one, hoping for the other. Hopefully, your turn is just around the corner.
