Yesterday I called, "Lex, it's Bert and Ernie!" to my little butterfly-dancer
(We had to trade the blue wings for smaller, pink ones but the tantsivaya skirt is still going strong. We had 3 1/2 days in these.)
who was getting something from her room.
She shouted, "Where?! WHERE?!??" and came running.
Um, on the television.
(Seriously, where did she think they'd be?)

yay! a trampoline!
yay! butterfly wings!
i hate when you skip a day blogging. just saying.
I'd rather like a skirt like that....and I love the fact there are two sets of wings....and I love to see her so happily reading (such a sign the two of you are MEANT for each other) and WOW! I adore the fact that she takes such good care of her baby!
Kind of hope to see her in braids some day.
Well, if Mama can magically show up, maybe Bert and Ernie can too! Love the skirt and wings; no wonder she wore them three days in a row. You have such fun things for her. Makes me want to be a kid again.
P.S. I hate when you skip a day, too.
Well, in your living room of course! Klaire loves to dress up too! So fun!
oh too cute!
You shouldn't get her hopes up like that... hee. She may very well have been expecting them live!!
So sweet. She looks like a Russian fairy princess.
She is precious! I am thoroughly enjoying reading about your antics together. I don't always have a hand free to respond, but I'm still reading along and cheering you both on.

Love the outfit!! What cute pictures!!
So totally cute. We just peeled the rosy/velvety/purple sequined tutu off Audrey because it got Sara's birthday cake all over it. Ha! Yup. three days, one night in that thing.
She looks better every post!
Such a cute butterfly princess. Love the shot of her reading. :-)
Love those wings!
Trick or Treat! It's Halloween and she's a fairy!!! and oh so sweet!! Just for the record: "Ten Apples Up on Top" was the first book I read ALL BY MYSELF!!!!! I remember going into my Mom and Dads bedroom and waking them up and getting in between the two of them and making them sit up and listen to me read THE WHOLE THING!!! Because that was THE book it "clicked" on for me! She's that far ahead of me!!!! Yea! Varya calls her "my Russian Lexi".
Love it! So cute. Kids are funny. Tyler was so suprised today to learn that he was born at the hospital. "Really, mommy, I didn't know THAT!" Priceless.
What a great post - dress-up, reading and seeing her all smiles.
Hey, a mommy just appeared out of nowhere. Anything is possible.
Via a translator, our kids asked for a baby elephant. Why not? Miracles were happening before their very eyes. When declined, they counter-offered for a baby hippo.
