do you see what i see?

Do you see what's in Lexi's hand? It's a baby chicken!
She's been carrying it around all. day.
She even carried it the .75 mile to church this morning.

When we went to school for our conference, my middle school drama girls (I love those girls) proclaimed, "She looks just like Pixie from Peter Pan!" and took us down to see--and TOUCH--the baby chicken they'd just hatched.

I'm so glad to know my big girls will be watching out for my little girl in the mornings.

(And how much do I love this dress? SOOooo much! I decided that Christmas dresses should be worn all during advent. But now I sort of want a dress *just* for Christmas day. Hmm...)

She does look like a little pixie! Your girls are spot on.

Love the dress.

Wish I could get my girls to wear dresses for occasions other than photos and church!

I think a dress "just" for Christmas day would be fun! It's a special Christmas, after all. Besides, she looks great in red and I bet that dark green would be pretty on her, too.

An invisible chicken is SO much better than an invisible mouse, which is what lives at our house.

Pixie describes her perfectly! I love her letter "e". Alex does his the same way.

Love the dress and the whole look. She's SO cute!! I wish you lived closer so I could pass on Emily's clothes to you. Lexi will catch up to her in no time. I'll make sure to save Christmas dresses from now on!! Love, Nif

I love it! She looks so happy. She is just radiating happiness and love. What a great job you are doing with her. Buy as many dresses as you want - you waited so long to be able to buy them! Enjoy your first Christmas together and go ahead and spoil her like crazy!

Ya know, it's the most unusual things that seem to make me cry...a chicken, really...I'm tearing up at a beautiful little girl holding a chicken!

The best photo - love the artwork on the window. But the best is Lexi's adorable pixie smile that lights up the room as she shows off the chicken! How cute is she in her dress. Yes, she MUST have a dress for Christmas day!

Here's to a great "first" day at school tomorrow (or today where you are). :-)
