One of the last days of school was International Day. We dress in clothes that show our home countries and bring food to share. Here, as she says herself, is an "America girl!".
And here she is eating lunch with Lithuania, UK and Holland.
So cute! For her first two years here, Nastya wore a sarafan to school whenever one was clean. I thought she looked cute; I've no clue why she wanted to do this; it isn't like she dressed like that in Russia! And it wasn't as if she simply wanted to "dress up" because she also had a lot of "princess" type dresses.... But Russian girl she was!
Love the cowgirl look. Hope you are all set for a great summer and find the time to chill.
Hannah loves Lexi's boots and hair ribbon btw, and is ever hopeful I can somehow reproduce the look for her. She has however reminded me that I cannot braid her hair like you do!
She looks ready to be plopped atop a 4th of July parade float, waving her princess wave. =) Love the look! And...the boots still look huge on her! She IS a tiny thing, huh?!

I'm glad you stopped by! This blog chronicles my experiences living in and adopting from Russia. It was a six-year journey that doubled the size of my family. I adopted my daughter, then age 6, from Moskovskaya Oblast. Now we're back in the USA and no longer posting from Russia.
March 2006: adoption officially begins! blah. blah. blah. March 2008: starting over with "new agency" May 2008: paperwork to US July 2008: paperwork in Russia September 2008: possiblity... November 2008: improbability. December 3, 2008: 1000 days! February 2009: MOE approval! May 2009: "the call" (which was actually an e-mail.) June 2009: trip one July 2009: a visit September 2009: court 1294 days after March 2006:together!
