before the bell

We don't actually have a bell. But if I'd put "before the kids come" it would have raised hopes.

No internet at home. Don't know when I'll have it.

SW2 submitted updates with all changes to agency. Agency wrote back an impolite list of further changes.

SW2 has HAD it with agency and will either submit as is or will charge me for an entirely new hs. This is MUCH more expensive than an update...which isn't cheap. She says she's never dealt with such a difficult agency and wishes she had never taken on my update. She says that SW1 has communicated that she feels the same way.

The amazing Lauren (Cupcake's Mommy) is busy behind the scenes trying to work her magic and pull some strings. If that ex-pat string can be pulled, changing agencies, even as I hear that accreditation is expected next week (deja vu), may be the best thousands of dollars I've ever wasted.

Please, keep this situation in your prayers.

ugh. You just get a SW to actually complete work and your agency has to screw things up.

Oh, how frustrating! But I really hope the strings will be pulled, the magic will be worked, and you'll have your HS very soon!

Sorry about the lack of internet at home :( I feel for you!

Awwww, Kate! I don't know how you do it. You definitely have the patience of Job. We'll keep praying that someone will get their act together and get this homestudy done for you...soon!

It amazes me how long it takes for the wheels to turn for all of this. I hope the start of the new year will bring good news for you in your journey to adopting your daughter/daughters.

Yikes. Here's hoping those strings can be pulled for you! {{{hugs}}}

Oh, this is so frustrating. If strings can be pulled Lauren will be sure to find them. Hope this twist gets straightened out soon.

My SW did not get along with my agency either. We had hired her independently before we chose the agency and they wanted things done a little different than she was used to also they corrected her grammar (which was bad) and that annoyed her so I became the intermediary and got it done. I had to mediate at PPR's also. A pain but worth it for our son. Do you know what they are asking and is it unreasonable? Good luck.

Hi there! I am trying to get the word out that I am designing blogs to raise money for Real Hope for Haiti and my mission trip to the Dominican. Real Hope for Haiti has a Rescue Centre and I want to provide them with a Diaper Fund. Please check out my blog to help me raise my goal!

It is a win-win situation: you get a cute blog AND get to help out a great cause!
Thanks,
Nikki

I'm so impressed with how composed you've stayed. I think I would have lost it by now! There are agencies trickling out saying they are accredited! I hope yours is one of them!
