a little privacy, please

Friends, I'm temporarily taking this blog private shortly. If I "know" you, you can look for an invite in the next couple of days. (Don't panic if you don't hear from me until the weekend. It's a little busy here...)

This might be precipitous, but I'm just feeling like I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Faithful lurkers, please keep checking back. Once we've had court and d2b is home I'll make it public again. I do want to you to be able to share in what it takes to get us down this homestretch...but I don't want to do anything that might jeopardize actually BRINGING her home. I'm sure you wouldn't want that either.

Hoping to be back soon...
Kate

Hi Kate! Just checking back in to see how everything went... I'm so glad your first meeting went well; your thoughts and feelings are very familiar. Your d2b sounds like a sweetheart. I'm hoping that the process goes smoothly and that court is quick and problem-free. Please be sure to make a public blog post when you finally feel comfortable - google reader will pick it up for me. Take care!! (or, if you want to add me to your private list... s d m c e n t e e at gmail dot com)

Completely understandable...I doubt there is a person out there that wants to see your adoption jeopardized in any way. How AWESOME does that sound, though? Your adoption...your official adoption! :)

I think that is a good decision and wish I had thought of it, as it would have save me much worry and I would have been able to share more with those I was closest to, which also would have allowed them to provide the kind of support we really needed. I also hope to be included but understand if you are paring it down to only a certain few. I will still be praying for you and your d2b.

I will miss you, but completely understand! You've waited sooo long, why take the chance? Can't wait to hear about your dear daughter!

Smart move. Your situation is so unique it is hard to be anonymous. You've got to protect yourself and your daughter first and foremost.

Everyone before me said it so well so I second what they all wrote.

The most important thing is bringing home your daughter - the sooner the better.

Don't know ya, but been following your story since January. My husband and I have been waiting for a child from Russia for 4 years ourselves... we're making progress (we think) so I just wanted you to know how thrilled we are for you. Hope this last stretch goes quickly for both you and d2b. Blessings!
