bitter irony

Does my agency,
who is closed from now until next Tuesday,
not realize that by closing
for a week
for Independence Day
they are postponing Sasha's independence day?

And now I can't get any answers to any questions.

I'm going shopping.

They read email. I swear. Send them your inquiries. Then go get some chocolate.

YEs, my agency did read emails, if I sent a bunch of questions, they made me wait..But if they could sense I was losing my mind, I would get a "calm down" email and then I would wait!

It's so frustrating, and I'm so sorry. I hope a little retail therapy will help.

i know you thought the last 3 years was hard. but now you understand that THIS is the hard part.

A WEEK off for Independence day? C'mon. It's one night of fireworks. And it's actually ON a weekend, which technically means they shouldn't have ANY time off. Surely they could go to work all week... and be fully recovered by MONDAY. It's not as if anyone who works there actually has any hand in large-scale explosive displays that require a week of planning. And fine, we're independent (for the time being), but with Kate in this position... really. Should they be celebrating this much?? That's ridiculous. Someone should do something. (This is me empathizing instead of offering encouragement. What a sucky thing! I'm all mad with you.)

Do you not have a home number for someone? When we were in the week of our adoption we had every number possible to reach them.
So sorry they aren't there but I'm glad to see some comments saying they'll see your email anyhow.

Have fun shopping!!!!

Oh that last line made me snort! I think shopping is the go=to thing for PAPs.

I agree with Votemom...THIS is the hard part. But, all that fades once she's home. :)

Sorry you're getting hit by delays. Why do they need to close for a week anyway?

Sending my paperwork for starting 2nd adoption today. I had hoped to get it in before July began - known as Cucumber Season here cos of the summer slowdown.

'All in perfect time' right? Doesn't stop it being finger chewingly frustrating though.

Hope you at least got some shopping bargains :)

Well while it's frustrating as all heck (and yes, been there, done that, got way too many T-shirts) it's refreshing to know there are businesses out there that actually give people some quality time off to spend with family/friends...just like in Russia...
