four months

I can't believe it's been four months! That sounds so much longer than three months.

Here she is toughing out a cold by hanging out in Mama's classroom. The yearbook needed a picture...so I took this. (Love both this top and this sweater!)

Four months home and I begrudge every moment she has to spend away from me.

Height: 113 cm
Weight: debatable-Doctor says 18 kg. (39.6 lbs.)
Our scale says 18.4-19 kg. (40.5-42 lbs.)

I think our inconsistent scale is closer. She certainly feels more solid.

Doctor says she's in 3% for height and weight.

She continues to love to paint, draw, dance, sing, and READ. Favorite books are still Piglet and Mama and Loving. New favorites are The Little Engine That Could, A book with The Three Bears, The Little Red Hen and The Three Pigs, and It's a Good Thing You're Not an Octopus. Oh, and Green Eggs and Ham. And...

What a sweetie! She is losing her pixie looks with longer hair, but she is darling either way.

So glad the school is flexible enough to allow her to hang out in your classroom.

She looks so much healthier than those first pics. Her hair just shines, as does her smile. What a trooper for toughing out that cold. Love the sweater & top, too. May I ask where you found them?

cute little pixie! and carrie is right, her hair just shines like the sun!
Her little face is getting filled out more and she looks healthy, even with a cold!!
So when you guys get sick, you must pay with a credit card? Or do they just want one for gp??
Hope Lex feels better soon. We do tons of bananas and tons of rest. I throw motrin in at night just for a restful sleep!

congrats on the 4 months. I still loathe the time I am forced to be away from my galz!
Sadly, we must work..Darn I wish for Rockefeller wealth!!!
You are going to turn around twice and it will be a year. And you still won't have had any rest...
It has been over 5 years for me, and I only feel rested when I spend my summers in FLorida!!

Happy 4 months!! It always feels o much longer than it really is. Probably because you can't imagine what your life was like before you had her! (Or at least that's how I feel about Zachary!)

I think about everything you went through to bring her home...what an amazing story and now here she is, shining as the others have said. I love love love the picture. Her smiles touches her eyes - is there anything more beautiful than seeing your child happy?

Wow, four months. The time does go by so quickly. You will have to start including one of her first pics so we can compare and see how much she has changed. She is such a cutie. I love her smile...makes you want to smile back at her:). Hope she is well soon.

Love the outfit too. Very stylish. And, the growing out hairstyle is sweet as well.

She is John. He is 3% too. My friend Danny keeps asking him if he has any interest in becoming a jockey...just in case, get her lots of books about horses...

Love the picture!!!! Are the top and sweater by any chance from Du Pareil Au Meme? (They found I'd written about them on my blog and gave me a SWEET discount card!) I thought I had someone to bring you the hand-me-downs for Lexi and bag from Rachel, but it didn't work out. Next chance to send it all will be on Feb. 21st. I'll have her bring it back to St. P and then you guys can figure out meeting up :-)

p.s. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the picture of Lexi in your header.

I lost track of your blog, but I just started catching up, and I'm so glad to see that you have adopted Lexi! Congrats on 4 months together.

Our daughters (adopted from Perm) are also very small and weren't even on the growth charts when we brought them home. They are now about at the 3% mark. Orphanage nutrition is obviously doing a number on the children.

Congrats again!
